Training and Daily Routine
Training is the part of basketball that is usually overlooked. It helps you get better and even prevents injuries. I usually start with a warm up and some mobility. I like to focus on my balance and safely landing from jumps before speed and power work through lifting. On the court, I work on ball handing, footwork, and form shooting. I usually keep drills short so its important to go hard and give it your all. I the weight room its important to not lift too heavy or over exert yourself, because at the end of the day youre still a basketball player. Some days might feel tough where you dont want to go put the work in, but its showing up that matters. Here is a warm-up below.
Warm Up Keys
- 5-7 minutes of light movement, like a jog
- Ankle, hip, and shoulder mobility
- Balance and landing soft
